We contracted Calcorp to construct our multi unit development at North Richmond. A happy client engaged us for 19 great projects in 20 years...

In 1989 I asked Robert Calvert from Calcorp to tender on an additional workshop for Winford Motors. When he came in with the most competitive quote, he got the business. However when I expanded again a couple of years later, I never bothered with a competitive quote, such was the quality of his work and the previous job was completed ahead of time.

In 2003, Calcorp designed and built eight new factories/showrooms at McGraths Hill for my company, and in 2006 he built a further nine factory/showrooms, once again without competitive quote. This is a total of 19 new buildings in just over 20 years. We have since built and sold two spec buildings in partnership.

I know I’m not an easy person to work for, because I’m so fussy and won’t ever accept 'near enough is good enough'. After all these years of working together I’m also very proud to call Robert a true and loyal friend.  All our business dealings after the initial one have been done on a handshake.
